Tune Up
24 week engagement - prerequisite : Diagnostic
Tune Up is the start of the implementation phase of the process improvement effort. It relies on the output of the Diagnostics phase to target the most profitable areas to correct.
Your management and support teams will actively participate in the improvements made during this phase. The leadership team will be trained on the new practices and documents thereby enhancing the adoption and institutionalization of those practices.
Project Contracts will be built that meet the immediate development needs and introduces some of the new artifacts. Each project contract will address a project development lifecycle that is tailored to meet the projects process needs.
A Process Asset Library (PAL) will be built as needed to support the initial project contracts.
Projects that fully comply with the project development lifecycle developed during this phase will be CMMi level 2 compliant.
