48 week engagement - prerequisite: Tune up
The Tune Up effort creates the process infrastructure that is built upon during the SuperCharged phase.
Additional project contracts will be created that address a wider scope of project types from simple fixes to complete startup new product development.
Project teams will be given specific training in the use of the project contract as well as the utilization of project specific configuration managed document archives.
Project contracts will be refined as deficiencies are identified and updated as needed.
The Process Asset Library (PAL) will be extended as needed and the maintenance of this tool will be handed off to the support team.
Introduction of project assessments to insure conformance with the defined processes and project contract will begin with all active projects utilizing these procedures.
The initial collection of process metrics along will project metrics will be used to determine the effectiveness of the improvement effort and will establish the baseline for continuing process improvement progression.
The Discipline Centric Framework will be applied to project accounting system, project schedules, project artifact repositories, and all project associated retainable artifacts.
Supercharged projects will be laying the groundwork for a CMMi level 3 assessments. Projects that conform to Supercharged processes will be ready for SCAMPI C and possibly SCAMPI B assessments.
